On May 15, 2024, Kiowa Schools was awarded 55.5 million dollars to build our new school campus. This is the HIGHEST BEST Grant (BEST = Building Excellent Schools Today) in Colorado's history!

What does this mean? Our community has the opportunity of a lifetime to build a beautiful, safe, and forward-thinking campus for Kiowa’s students and staff. Kiowa was the ONLY school in the state to be awarded and funded for a full Pre-K–12 campus rebuild

The BEST Grant funds are dependent on a successful bond in the November 2024 election. If our bond request is unsuccessful, the funds will go to the next school in line and our chances for a future BEST Grant award will be bleak.

This process has been three years in the making, and we are excited to focus our efforts and engage our community in this process.
